Life Shown Through Art

I’ve been fortunate to live in Southern California for almost three years now and in an attempt to steer away from humble bragging I’ll just say that it’s been an amazing time living here.

One thing that’s easy to take for granted is that there’s so much art wherever we go. I’m not even talking about the numerous museums but other spots around our area. The most recent being a small exhibit inside South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa which featured not just the history of the mall but also the theatre that’s just down the block.

There were family pictures, pictures of the mall and theatre being built, different shows and events that have taken place throughout its collective history, and many other pieces of art.

I love that they put this together, it’s always beautiful seeing a place and its people celebrating they’re history and it’s a beautiful way to show that everything around us, even theatres and malls, have a rich story.

I hope more small exhibits like this are developed everywhere. To remind us that there are an infinite collection of stories in the world and that we have a connection with them all no matter how small.
